The honest problem with a dog ramp for the couch is that it's a board on your living room floor. Most people buy one, look at it for a week, and start leaning it behind the couch between uses, which means the dog goes back to jumping.

Will it reach your couch?
Measure from the floor to the top of the cushion. Rowan stands 19.5 inches tall and needs 27.6 inches of floor once the ramp is down, which suits couches, armchairs and low-to-standard beds. If your bed is over about 22 inches, this is the wrong height. It is a short ramp, so the slope is steeper than a long one: fine for small dogs and cats, not the right choice for a dog over 110 lb or one with serious hip trouble.

How much weight does it take?

Is the ramp steep?
It's a short ramp, so the slope is real. Small dogs and cats take it easily. A dog with serious hip trouble does better on something longer and shallower, like Alder.
