Cat Trees for Large Cats
Most cat trees are built for an eight-pound cat. A maine coon or a heavy ragdoll bottoms out the hammock and rocks the whole tower. Every tree here is chosen for weight and stability first: wide perches a long cat can lie across, thick natural sisal rather than cardboard tubes, weighted or wall-braced bases. Pick a tall freestanding tree if you have the floor, a floor-to-ceiling post if you do not, or a low solid-wood tree for a cat who has stopped jumping.
