A dog who can no longer walk the whole loop should still get to come. A large dog stroller or a double stroller carries 100 lb and more on real wheels, folds flat for the trunk, and has a rear door that drops as a ramp. For the car, a back seat extender turns the seat and footwell into one flat, waterproof platform, and a booster seat gives a small dog a secure, clipped-in place to ride. Back seat only, always.
