plush-foam-dog-stairs-for-couch
Juniper Plush Foam Dog Stairs for Couch, 3 or 4 Steps up to 17.7" Tall

Small dogs do not stop jumping off the couch. They just land worse. Each drop puts several times a dog's bodyweight through the front legs, and after a few years most of them quietly give up and wait at the edge for a lift. Juniper is a set of plush foam dog stairs for couch and armchair height that takes that drop apart into three or four short, flat steps.

The core is high-density foam, firm enough that a paw does not sink and skid. The plush cover gives a hesitant dog something to grip rather than a hard varnished edge to scrabble on. There is no frame, so a missed step lands on foam, and the whole thing weighs 6.8 lb if you want to move it from room to room.

The three-step stands 13.8 inches tall, the four-step 17.7 inches, which is the difference between a couch and a low bed. The whole cover unzips and goes in the washing machine.

Why Juniper works for small and senior dogs

3 or 4 steps — 13.8 inches for a couch or armchair, 17.7 inches for a low bed, so the top step lands just under the cushion.

High-density foam core — a paw stays planted instead of sinking and sliding.

Plush removable cover — grip for a nervous dog, and it unzips whole and machine washes.

Non-slip backing — holds on wood floors; the dog's own weight does the rest.

Soft all the way through — a missed step meets foam, not a hard edge.

6.8 lb shipped weight — light enough to carry between the living room and the bedroom.

No assembly — out of the box and in place.

Specifications

Steps

3 or 4, depending on size chosen

3-step size

15.7" W x 17.7" D x 13.8" H

4-step size

15.7" W x 23.6" D x 17.7" H

Core

High-density foam

Cover

Plush, removable, machine washable

Base

Non-slip backing

Suits dogs up to

About 40 lb

Shipped weight

6.8 lb

Assembly

None, arrives ready to use

Best for

Couches, armchairs, low beds

Will it fit your couch?

Measure floor to the top of the cushion, not the frame. Three steps for a couch or armchair, four for a low bed; pick the height that lands just under the seat, because a dog steps down onto a stair more confidently than up onto one that overshoots. Juniper is built for dogs up to about 40 lb: a dachshund, a shih tzu, a small terrier, an older cat. It is not for a Labrador, which will flatten the foam, and at 17.7 inches it will not reach a 25-inch bed.

Questions about dog stairs for couch

<details style="border-bottom:1px solid #E4DED4">
Three steps or four?

Three for a couch or an armchair, four for a low bed.
